Hallmark Channel is slated to premiere four new movies for their annual June Weddings celebration along with two new premieres on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
FUN FACT: Do you know why June is a popular month for weddings? It traces back to Roman mythology. Juno was the goddess of marriage and childbirth, and the Romans celebrated her and her husband, Jupiter, on June 1.
1. The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango

Everyone's favorite Hallmark dancing duo is back, but this time it's with a mystery.
Lacey Chabert plays Constance Bailey, a "no-nonsense detective who prefers to work alone," so she is not happy when she's forced to team up with Sebastian Moore (Will Kemp) to become a contestant in a ballroom dancing competition in order to solve the murder of a high-profile CEO.
The movie was filmed entirely in Malta.
Senior Vice President of Programming and Development at Hallmark Media shared this tidbit in a recent press release:
"After the success of Christmas Waltz, viewers have been clamoring for another movie with this charismatic duo. When Will came to us with this fun spin on a whodunnit, we knew that it was the perfect opportunity to reunite him with Lacey."
Viewers can expect to see the stars riding Vespas along with gorgeous views from this picturesque filming location.
The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango premieres on Friday, June 2 at 9pm Eastern on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
2. Wedding Season
Starring Stephanie Bennett and Casey Deidrick, Wedding Season is about a journalist, Trish, who is on back-to-back bridesmaid duty for her three best friends. When her date is unable to join, she pairs up with Ryan, a photographer, who is also the brother of her best friend.
Sounds like the typical Hallmark formula.
Wedding Season isn't Bennett's first Hallmark movie, but it does mark her first time starring in the leading role. Bennett has appeared in supporting roles in Hallmark's Valentine in the Vineyard, Lonestar Christmas, and The Nine Kittens of Christmas.
You may remember Casey Deidrick from playing the leading man with Emily Osmet in 2021's A Very Merry Bridesmaid.
Wedding Season premieres June 3 at 8pm Eastern on Hallmark Channel.
3. Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New
It remains to be seen how fans will respond to a new Aurora Teagarden. Will they be able to embrace Skyler Samuels as the young Aurora in this prequel series, or will they constantly compare her to Candace Cameron Bure and not be able to accept anyone else in the role? Time will tell. The reboot will also star Evan Roderick and Marilu Henner.
Here's the synopsis according to a Hallmark press release:
"While her mother, Aida, struggles to keep her newfound real estate business, Aurora supports herself by working as a teacher's assistant in a crime fiction class and waitresses at the local diner at night, where she shares her love of researching true crime with her friend Sally and police officer Arthur. When Sally's fiancé doesn't show up at their wedding rehearsal, Maid of Honor Aurora gets Arthur to help her search for him. When they discover a body, everyone assumes it is Sally's tardy groom, but when it turns out to be someone else, Sally's fiancé becomes the main suspect."
Hallmark introduced Aurora Teagarden Mysteries in 2014 as movie adaptations of Charlaine Harris's novels. Bure starred in 18 Aurora Teagarden movies, with her last one airing in February 2022. Fans were devastated but hoped it wouldn't mean the end of the series. Looks like they will get their wish.
Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New premieres Friday, June 9 at 9pm Eastern on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
4. Love's Greek to Me
Love's Greek to Me stars Torrey DeVitto, Giannis Tsimitselis, and Marina Sirtis.
When Ilana (DeVitto) travels to Santorini with her Greek boyfriend Mike (Tsimitselis) for his sister Alex's wedding, she's thrilled to be asked to be her American Maid of Honor. Mike surprises Ilana by proposing, leaving Ilana caught in the whirlwind created by his well-meaning and overly enthusiastic mother Athena (Sirtis).
It's Greek to Me is an idiom that means something is incomprehensible--I love the play on words Hallmark uses to apply this concept to matters of the heart.
Love's Greek to Me premieres Saturday, June 10 at 8pm Eastern on Hallmark Channel.
5. The Wedding Contract
Becca Tobin and Jake Epstein headline this movie about a teacher, Rebeca, and an ad executive, Adam, who are excited to plan their Jewish wedding. Their wedding and future are put into jeopardy, however, when Adam lands a new ad campaign, and their mothers meet for the first time.
To date, Tobin has only starred in two Hallmark movies--A Song for Christmas (2017) and Love at First Dance (2018).
Epstein has starred in Christmas movies on other networks, but for Hallmark, he's headlined only one, and it was also a Jewish-themed film from 2021, Eight Gifts of Hanukkah.
The Wedding Contract premieres on Saturday, June 17 at 8pm on Hallmark Channel.
6. Make Me a Match
This new movie stars Rushi Kota and Eva Bourne.
Vivi is an optimistic woman with a substandard romantic history who works at a data-driven matchmaking app. Once she discovers that the success rate for matches at her company is low, she hires Raina, an Indian matchmaker to provide advice on how to improve their numbers. As they embark on this matchmaking journey, Vivi meets Raina's spontaneous son, Bhumesh and questions whether finding love is something one must take control of or let naturally come to them.
This movie may just be another recycled version of past Hallmark plots (Mingle
All the Way, Matching Hearts, etc.), but it's one that hasn't been so over-done that new life can't be wrung from it.

Make Me a Match premieres Saturday, June 24 at 8pm on Hallmark Channel.
