Hallmark Announces 12 New Spring Movies for 2023! (*UPDATED* with More Movies & Printable Checklist!)
Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are gearing up for some egg-cellent entertainment this spring, featuring twelve new movies that will premiere between both channels.
Michael Rady hasn't appeared in a Hallmark movie for two years. We last saw him in January 2021 with Aimee Teagarden in A New Year's Resolution. Fans have missed him! Between working in the series Chicago Med and having a recurring role in Magnum P.I., it's no wonder he hasn't had time to film a rom-com.
The synopsis for this movie reads, "A wedding guide creator (Krakow) must convince an uninspired artist and owner of a special wedding cottage (Penny) to renovate the rundown cottage to host a contest-winning couple for their dream wedding."
You can catch Heather Hemmens and Luke Mitchell in this movie about prep cook, Anna (Hemmens), who must step into the spotlight and make a cooking program her own when the celebrity chef storms off the show. She manages to pull it off with the help of her Aussie cameraman (Mitchell) and a Portuguese location scout.
Check out the list below to see which of your favorite Hallmark celebrities will headline each new movie and note their March and April 2023 air dates and times.
You will find a printable checklist at the end of the post to track the movies you watch!
1. The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal
Brittany Bristow and Marcus Rosner kick of Hallmark Channel's Spring into Love 2023 with this movie about a recently engaged woman who is having second thoughts. She wonders if the one she's meant to be with is really her mystery college pen pal whose letters she has kept for years.
It sounds a little like Her Pen Pal from 2021, but hopefully the details will make it unique rather than a carbon copy of a previously aired movie.
The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal premieres March 4 at 8pm Eastern.
2. Game of Love
Kimberley Sustad and Brooks Darnell headline this story about a game developer and marketing executive who are both tasked with creating a board game about love.
Despite their differences, they learn to work together and find that they both have a lot to learn about love.
Fans are already expressing disappointment that Sustad and Paul Campbell will be featured separately in Spring 2023 premieres instead of teaming up again to create the onscreen magic they always deliver.
Game of Love premieres March 11 at 8pm Eastern.
3. Unexpected Grace
Rady will star opposite Erica Durance in a movie about a young girl named Grace who finds a note from a schoolgirl looking for a friend. When Grace writes back, it sets off a chain of events that ultimately changes the lives of three people.
Unexpected Grace premieres March 12 at 7pm Eastern on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
4. The Winning Team

Nadia Hatta and Kristoffer Polaha star in this movie about a pro soccer player no longer in the game teaming up with a small-town coach to lead her niece's team to the playoffs.
The big question is what happened to Polaha's hair?
The Winning Team premieres March 18 at 8pm Eastern.
5. The Cases of Mystery Lane
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is launching this new, original series about a husband-and-wife duo, Alden and Birdie Case, who end up over their heads as amateur sleuths.
The series stars Paul Campbell and Aimee Garcia.
The couple literally learns how to keep the "mystery" alive in their marriage!
The Cases of Mystery Lane premieres March 19 at 7pm Eastern.
6. A Picture of Her

Tyler Hynes and Rhiannon Fish bring viewers a story about a woman who unwittingly becomes the subject of an award-winning magazine's cover and goes on a quest to uncover the true identity of the mystery photographer who snapped her photo.
Hynes's most recent Hallmark movie was Three Wise Men and a Baby, which was wildly popular with fans during Countdown to Christmas 2022. (You can take a fun quiz on that movie here.)
Hallmark fans last saw Fish in the 2022 movie A Splash of Love, though she starred more recently in the Great American Family movie, A Prince in Paradise.
A Picture of Her premieres March 25 at 8pm Eastern.
7. Love in the Maldives
If you aren't a world traveler, you might be thinking, I've never heard of the Maldives.
The Maldives is a country in Southern Asia known for its white, sandy beaches, clear waters and lagoons, and extensive coral reefs.
Jocelyn Hudon and real-life husband, Jake Manley, star in this movie about a single woman famous for her travel column, Reservation for One. She struggles to find the right experiences to write about in her column while visiting The Conrad Maldives, and it doesn't help that she's afraid of open water. When the guest experiences expert steps in to offer support, both find more than just adventure.
Love in the Maldives premieres April 1 at 8pm Eastern.
8. The Professional Bridesmaid
Hunter King and Chandler Massey star in this story about a woman who makes it her business to be a paid bridesmaid. She is hired by a politician up for reelection and under close scrutiny to make sure his daughter's wedding stays on track and is a huge success. Meanwhile, a local society news reporter is snooping around to get the scoop on the mayor's plans to develop park land. Maggie (King) must keep her identity a secret, coordinate the other bridesmaids, and keep Hendry (Massey) focused on the wedding.
The Professional Bridesmaid premieres April 8 at 8pm Eastern.
9. The Blessing Bracelet
The Blessing Bracelet is an inspirational DaySpring movie that will air on Easter Sunday. It stars Amanda Schull and Carlo Marks.
Here's the plot summary for the movie:
"Dawn Spencer (Schull) approaches the Easter holiday trying to balance being a single parent while working to get out of the debt left behind by her ex-husband. Feeling overwhelmed, Dawn unearths a bracelet she made years earlier and stored away. She created it using four beads with the intention of using each one as a reminder to count the blessings in her life. As Dawn begins to focus on the good, her faith is renewed, and her life takes a positive turn. Thanks to the support of Dawn’s church community and the encouragement by Ben (Marks), who recently came into her life, the blessing bracelet helps take her down a path she never could have imagined."
The Blessing Bracelet premieres April 9 at 7pm Eastern on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
10. The Wedding Cottage
The synopsis for this movie reads, "A wedding guide creator (Krakow) must convince an uninspired artist and owner of a special wedding cottage (Penny) to renovate the rundown cottage to host a contest-winning couple for their dream wedding."
The Wedding Cottage premieres April 15 at 8pm Eastern.
11. A Pinch of Portugal
A Pinch of Portugal premieres April 22 at 8pm Eastern.
12. Hearts in the Game (Previously Titled The Spin Cycle)
In case you're wondering, this movie is not about doing laundry!
Erin Cahill and Marco Grazzini headline this movie about a publicist (Cahill) growing her empire. She is tasked with "spinning" a top MLB pitcher's image after he freezes during Game 7 of the World Series, but he also happens to be the man who broke her heart in high school. They return to their Ohio hometown to deal with the issues facing them, both professionally and personally.
Hearts in the Game premieres April 29 at 8pm Eastern.
Which Hallmark Spring 2023 Movie Are You Looking Forward to the Most?
Based on the plot summaries of each new Hallmark Spring 2023 movie, it sounds like writers might be creating more unique stories this season rather than recycling old ones.
A new Hallmark Easter movie is long overdue, but let's hope it will actually be faith-centered.
Some of the romantic pairings look promising, while a few appear mismatched. It will be interesting to see which leads generate the most chemistry.

DeleteAgree.
DeleteDisappeared that Kimberly Sustad and Paul Campbell are not in a movie together. They have great chemistry and their humor bouncing lines between them is the best. Sad they’re in separate movies.
