The Wedding Veil Plot Summary
The Wedding Veil is the first installment of a new trilogy that follows three longtime college friends who discover a mysterious, antique veil fabled to unite its bearer with her true love. After discovering a long-lost painting, museum curator Avery and new board member Peter investigate the artwork's origins as they plan a gala to unveil it.
Starring: Lacey Chabert, Kevin McGarry, Autumn Reeser, and Alison Sweeney
The Wedding Veil Is Inspired by Lori Wilde's Book
Churning out tons of new movies each year takes a toll on Hallmark's creativity. How many plots can be about a writer, and is it common for so many people to suffer from amnesia?
Recycled stories grow wearisome, but when Hallmark taps authors outside their own bubble, fans benefit from fun, light-hearted romances that are refreshingly unique.
The Wedding Veil is inspired by the book, There Goes the Bride by Lori Wilde, which was published in 2012. That book and another enchanting wedding veil story, Once Smitten, Twice Shy, can be purchased in one volume called Kiss the Bride. There Goes the Bride was reprinted in 2018 under the new title, Long, Tall Texan. If the movie charmed you, be sure to snag the books, too!
Our Favorite Stars Are Getting Older
Most of us adore one or more of these leading ladies: Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser, and Alison Sweeney. However, one unbelievable component of this trilogy is that none of these college friends have yet married. In real life, Chabert is 39, Reeser is 41, and Sweeney is 45. To make the movie a little more feasible, at least two of them should be divorced or have kids. Three beauties like these would have never remained unmarried so long.
Hallmark has been trying to incorporate new talent, but many of the newbies have been completely uncharismatic. Fans love the original Hallmark icons, but they are growing older, so to cast them as younger people finding real love for the first time is a bit far-fetched.
When to Expect the Next Two Wedding Veil Installments
The Wedding Veil Unveiled will premiere February 12, 2022, at 8pm Eastern, and it will feature Reeser (Emma) who heads to Italy to teach and research the wedding veil. While she's there, she meets Paolo, the son of a local lace-making family.

The third and final installment of the trilogy, The Wedding Veil Legacy, will premiere February 19, 2022, at 8pm Eastern. Sweeney stars in this one as Tracy, the final friend to take possession of the wedding veil. Will her cynicism of the veil's legend cause her to marry the wrong guy, or will the veil work its magic for her too? We'll find out!

Such a wonderful series of movies. THE WEDDING VEIL TRILOGY is an absolute must see for romance, beautiful on location (Italy especially) scenes and storylines.
